The Foundation of Orofacial Myotherapy is a national organization which is specifically concerned with creating awareness among oral as well as allied health professionals regarding the role of the orofacial musculature in the development of the face, jaws and occlusion of an individual and the maintenance of his holistic well- being. It is also focused on emphasizing the importance of diagnosing and treating muscular dysfunctions in the orofacial region at an early stage and the effectiveness of red-educating the musculature via orofacial muscular exercises in the treatment of these dysfunctions. We are dedicated to training and encouraging oral and allied healthcare professionals to learn and implement the science of orofacial myotherapy in their practices such that they not only diagnose but also comprehensively treat orofacial myofunctional disorders and ensure good oral and general health of their patients

The Foundation of Orofacial Myotherapy (FOM) held an introductory programme on 15th Februrary, 2018 at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital Auditorium, Pune in association with the Academy of Craniofacial Aesthetics In India (ACFAI). The programme included the telecast of a brief introductory video giving an overview of orofacial myotherapy, its benefits for both practitioners and patients and its impact on the quality of life of patients. This was followed by the release of the logo of our foundation and the launch of the ‘Offtrack’ application, a phone based application designed to help practitioners diagnose orofacial myofunctional disorders and regulate therapies at the hands of Dr.Noshir Mehta, Associate Dean, Tufts University, USA and Dr.Sandesh Mayekar.
